Thomas S. Orlando Obituary
Thomas S. Orlando was the beloved husband of Lora (nee Howton); loving father of Angela Lovette and Molly Orlando; cherished grandfather of Kamrynn; dear son of the late James and Terese; adored brother of Barbara Kraly (Ed), James (Chip) Orlando Jr. and Pamela Gedeon (Michael); uncle of many and friend to all.

Tom was a cherished member and musician of Christ Community Chapel. He was an avid car enthusiast and Harley rider. Tom was dedicated and well respected in the auto industry. Above all, his family was most important to him.

Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (RTE 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, FOR VISITATION MONDAY, 2 to 4 AND 6 to 8. Friends are asked to gather at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, OH. 44236 where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.

Jane E. Orlando, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014.

She was born on September 14, 1926, to the late Rosario "Harry" and Louise (Alviani) Orlando in New London.

Jane graduated from Fitch High School, class of 1944 and graduated from Mitchell College in New London. With an adventurous spirit, Jane travelled extensively and worked in the American Embassy in Paris, France and in the office of the commandant of the sixth fleet in Naples, Italy for many years before returning to Groton in 1981.

She retired from Electric Boat in Groton, and was a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Catholic parish. She was a member of the Thames Ski Club and enjoyed many trips to Pico Mountain in Vermont with friends and family. Her love of travel provided unique experiences as she visited countries in Europe and Asia, making many friends along the way.

She is survived by her loving brother, James Orlando, and devoted sister-in-law, Pamela, nephews James (Aris) Chambers of Naples, Fla.; Thomas (Jennifer) Chambers of Clarkston, Mich.; James Orlando of Chesapeake,Va., niece, Joanne (Rodney) Crevoiserat of Mequon, Wis., seven great-nieces and nephews Claire Chambers, Katherine Chambers, Matthew Crevoiserat, Emily Crevoiserat, Megan Crevoiserat, Samantha Chambers, and Thomas S. Chambers.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dolores (Orlando) Chambers.

Visiting hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Byles Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church, 56 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, New London.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be directed to Sacred Heart Church, 56 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton, CT 06340, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorials and Honors Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
